A Marriage Proposal at the Before I Do Bridal Fair 12th Edition

If you want to book wedding suppliers at discounted rates, brides and grooms should go to bridal fairs such as the recently held Before I Do Bridal Fair 12th Edition at the Megatrade Hall 3, SM Megamall. Over 3,400 brides and grooms made it the grand event and met 95 wedding suppliers who charmed their hearts with great wedding promos and discounts.

But who would have thought that among the 3,400 people who visited the event, there was one romantic guy planning to propose to his girl at the bridal fair's stage itself. This romantic guy touched base with the bridal fair's organizers months before the event to orchestrate his most awaited proposal. He was set to propose when the bridal fair's band, ALT, played their theme song "You and Me". Originally, he was supposed to surprise his girl by singing along with the band but his nerves got the best of him and he went straight to proposing. If it's your first time to attend a Bridal Fair be prepared to be overwhelmed with the bustling crowd and the many wedding booths to check out. When I attended my first bridal fair I almost gave up. I was so overwhelmed with the crowd and exhibits. That's why the next time I attended a Bridal Fair I made sure that I'm prepared. With a little planning you too can navigate your way around and enjoy yourself.

Here are some tips when attending a Bridal Fair:

• Check out which suppliers are joining Before I Do Bridal Fair and plan on which ones you’ll want to connect with. This will help you trim down which suppliers you need and save time. 
• Create a separate email address to be used while you are planning your wedding.  This way you can delete it when you no longer are interested in receiving special offers from the vendors.

• Bring a companion with you – best if you can get 2 or 3 people to attend the fair with you (your fiancee, best friend, mother, sister or maid of honor). Just remember not to bring your whole entourage. You might end up leaving early or not finish on time because everyone wants to look at this, at that...
• Bring your wedding card – Wedding card is just like your regular Business Card but this includes your name, your fiancee’s name, wedding date (if you have one set), mailing address, (wedding) email address, land line number and mobile number. Give this to suppliers who would ask for your wedding details. 
• Pre-register ahead of time ( http://bid12.doattend.com/ ) so that you do not have to fill out forms on the day of the fair. Just remember to bring your tickets! Remember, no ticket, no entry.
• Wear something comfortable and appropriate. Walking shoes is advisable. Be kind to your feet and don't go around the fair in heels. 
• Wedding suppliers will give out flyers at the fair. Be sure to have a folder or bag, big enough to hold all the literature that you'll be getting.  
• Ask lots of questions, that's what the exhibitors are there for! I guarantee you that they will be happy to answer all of your questions.

Attending Before I Do Bridal Fair will help eaze some of the pressure of planning your dream wedding by allowing you to compare, taste, touch and see what wedding specialists have to offer - all in one (ball)room.  Before I Do Bridal Fair brings you the latest trends and gives you the opportunity of connectiing with the service providers you need to create your special day. Bring your girlfriends, mom, and even your fiancé and enjoy the day.

Tips for Attending a Bridal Show

• Pre-register ahead of time ( http://bid11.doattend.com/) so that you do not have to fill out forms on the day of the show. Just remember to bring your tickets! Remember, no ticket, no entry.
• If you don't pre-register, make sure you register when you arrive at the show.  Registering will enter you into the hourly raffle drawings. 
• Create a separate email address to be used while you are planning your wedding.  This way you can delete it when you no longer are interested in receiving special offers from the vendors.
• Bring adhesive address labels.  This will save you a lot of time when you register at individual booths. Exhibitors will ask for your names, wedding date, contact number and email address so make sure to add these information to your label.
• Ask lots of questions, that's what the exhibitors are there for!
• Bring your cheque book in case you decide to book services or block dates with a deposit. Be sure to check on refund policies before giving any money, and read the contract carefully before signing.
• Collect any information you are interested in - take it home to look over again when you have some quiet time. Don't forget to come back the next day and book your supplier! Booking between 10am to 1pm gives you a chance to double your tickets for the on site booking raffle. The lucky on site booker gets to win a 3 day 2 night stay at Hotel Vida!
• If you cannot attend, send someone else (your  fiancé, mom or maid of honor) to do the "window shopping" on services you need.
• Wear comfortable shoes and have a great time!

It was around 2004 when I chanced upon an advertisement for a photo and video package at a Konika Developing Center at Malibay, Pasay city. I said to myself, "Hmmm... Maybe I can invite them to join our bridal fair at SM North EDSA". I desperately needed suppliers back then since it was the first bridal fair at SM North EDSA and the mall wanted us to have it at the 3rd floor. Hayyy... that one was really a challenge and I was so happy that they said "Yes!" to our invitation..

After that bridal fair, Nice Print Photography was born. I believe that was the very first bridal fair that they joined. Their packages were so affordable that I even gave them 2 clients to cover and my clients were very happy with their service.
