Anapi-Bernardo Wedding @ St. Andrew the Apostle Parish

Union of a lovely couple at St. Andrew the Apostle Parish at Bel-Air Makati was serenaded by The Red-Pencil Strings trio, Richard, Joy and Sarah, together with the in-house choir, Gratia Plena Chorale.

The trio played Canon in D for the entourage and A Thousand Years for the bridal march as requested by the client. It was a very solemn wedding, attended by close friends and relatives.

A wedding involving Chinese families usually means extended hours. But this was one wedding where I did not mind the long wait. Why? Because despite not having a wedding planner, the members of both families pitched in so well to keep things running smoothly the entire day. A lot of oh-so-cute babies in our midst also lightened the mood of everyone.

Another advantage of the 'broken time'? The team members got to relax using blind masseurs at Harrison Plaza -- except me, of course (as I was doing the onsite AVP the entire time).

Martin and April's Dream Wedding

The couple wanted a dream wedding and they got it, with God's grace.

The weather forecast was stormy because of Typhoon Santi. For God's own special reasons, He held the storm clouds until the couple could finish the ceremony and get back inside. The rains whipped up with a vengeance during the reception, but the atmosphere was one of love and friendship among the small group of family and friends who attended.

Before I Do Couple: Francis and Kat

Francis and Kat had a no fuss wedding. Everything was simple, relaxed, environment friendly and everyone had fun!

I actually considered it as a GREEN WEDDING - earth friendly and low cost. How were they able to pull it off? Let's go over some of the things they had on the day of their wedding starting with the:

Bridal car - Instead of hiring a bridal car, Kat used her own car on the day of her wedding. Her driver? Her very own Maid of Honor.

Bouquets and boutonnieres - Kat ordered fabric flowers from her friend instead of ordering fresh flowers. Served as souvenirs as well.

Photo / Video - This was a gift from a relative of Francis who is into the Photo / Video business in the province.

Invitation - They came up with their own simple design for Invitations by Kenneth Uy to execute. Envelope? Lullu of Invitation Designs by Kenneth Uy had a hard time with this one because they used craft paper.

Church entrance and aisle arrangement - Instead of paying for floral arrangements they had potted plants and what's the good thing about this? They donated the plants to the chapel after the wedding.

Offertory - Again, instead of flowers, potted plant.

Centerpieces - Potted herbs that some of the guests got to bring home.

Wine toasting - They had coke instead.

Wedding cake - A humble 1 layer cake. No styrofoam in this wedding.
