Sample Booth Set up

It's your first time to join a bridal fair and you don't know what or how to set up your booth. Don't worry. We'll help you the basic things you need to know in order to design your own booth set up.

But first thing's first. You have to find out what is provided by the Organizer.
Before I Do Bridal Fair Series provides each participant with a bare raw space, a carpet and electrical outlet (others will only provide electrical outlets). We do not provide booth systems, tables and chairs but you can rent these from our Official Contractor should you wish to. But if you want to be more creative, you are free to decorate your booth to attract more visitors.

If you will bring your own panels or booth dividers, be considerate and make sure that you cover the back panel / divider (the one facing your neighbors) with a clean black or white cloth. This will hide any wiring or exposed unsightly woodwork at the other side of your booth.

Next, where are you located? Are you at the corner (2 sides open), middle (1 side open) or at the end (3 sides open)?

2 sides open (For size and opening reference only. Booth not included)

1 side open (For size and opening reference only. Booth not included)

3 sides open (For size and opening reference only. Booth not included)

Booth sizes would vary depending on the bridal fair or trade fair that you'll join. With Before I Do Bridal Fair Series, depending on what's available, you can choose between:
  • 2 meters x 2 meters,
  • 1.5 meters x 3 meters,
  • 2 meters x 3 meters or
  • 3 meters x 3 meters (as shown above: 1 panel = 1 meter)
With the size of the booth you are getting, visualize what items you can place inside your booth. Better yet, try to set up one at home or at your office to see how it will actually look like on the day of the event. Ingress day is not the time to see if all your items would fit inside your booth.

Location: Consider the direction of foot traffic. Is your booth at the front, right side or the left side of the hall? The best location is always the front and right side of the hall. As kids, we were "trained" to always keep right. So now that we're adults, every time we enter a building or when there's foot traffic, we always go to the right. The same goes to visitors of any trade fair. Once they enter, they will go to the right. That is why prime booths are always the ones at the front and right side of the hall.

Choosing a booth location will also determine where you would face your visitors. So if your booth is in the middle of 2 booths, check out where your guests are coming from and make sure you're not facing the other way. You have to anticipate their arrival and greet them with a smile.

So how do you decorate your booth? For us, it is best to do your research first before you plan your display. You do not want to end up spending for display items that you don't really need. So find out how others are doing it and if it appeals to you. Will a booth system work for you or would you rather give it more flare? Will you use your company colors or use a different color scheme?

Things to consider or think about when decorating your booth:
  1. Color scheme
  2. Type of tables and chairs (size as well)
  3. Location of tables
  4. Lighting
  5. Backdrop
  6. Signage
  7. Highlight service to offer
  8. Display shelves or tables
  9. What items to display
Below are photos of sample set ups of different wedding suppliers that might give you an idea of how you can decorate your own booth.

Fashion and Weddings

Brides nowadays have pegs or inspiration boards for their wedding gown. I usually draw and start my inspiration from there and work on something that will reflect her vision..

And Ms. Chan is one of those brides. One of the most beautiful faces I have ever seen..

Lace over lace, textured and embossed and simple skirt with cut out detail was what I envisioned for her gown design when she said flowers and beads.

For a woman who speaks softly yet you can feel her strength.

No words can express how happy and proud I am when I see my bride confident and glowing while walking down the aisle wearing my creation..

It is true that you don't need a high and pricey gown to have your dream wedding.. You just need someone who can understand what you want..

The Bridge Across Forever!

JP and DIANA is one of the coolest couple I've encountered. I do admire the way they handle things--they just breeze through the day without any worries at all. I would often smile whenever I hear them conversing to each other. This set the right mood on their big day. JP and DIANA became a spark that ignites laughter among their family and friends.

The highlight of the day was having their wedding ceremony in one of the historical churches in Manila, the San Sebastian Church. I was so moved to see the Father of the Bride beaming with pride as she watched his daughter walked down the aisle. It was an unforgettable moment for the Groom as well--the most significant day for them had finally arrived.

The pictorial in Quiapo bridge further boost the fun and excitement of the day. I was amazed with JP and DIANA's enthusiasm. They did not mind their tiredness, or the fact that passersby were staring at them while they're having their pictorial as a newly wed couple. The 'go for it' attitude is like a bridge that will lead this couple to go places..they were not afraid to take any risk..they were not hesitant to go beyond the traditional.

Celebrating JP and DIANA and their bridge across forever!

KELVIN and BRIGITTE- A Beautiful Beginning

I admire couples who get married at a young age. I am fascinated with the idea that they have found their lifetime partners at an early stage of their life.

For KELVIN and BRIGITTE, their wedding is a beautiful beginning of a blissful life ahead. Calaruega Church provided a sweet ambiance for the wedding ceremony. I am in awe upon seeing our BRIGITTE walked down the aisle...I was drawn with how she carried herself, there was an air of fierceness and sophistication in her sweet image. On the other hand, our Groom, KELVIN was filled with love and tenderness as he wait for his Bride in the altar.

It was a magical, fairy tale celebration that adapted a traditional concept. I don't see it much often in our weddings these days, and this makes KELVIN and BRIGITTE's wedding quite unique. I love the part when the couple had to eat some rice cake before entering the reception area amidst the cheering crowd.

Celebrating KELVIN and BRIGITTE and their beautiful beginning. May you put Christ in the center of your togetherness.

What is a Bridal Fair?

What is a Bridal Fair?
A bridal fair is a convention of suppliers in the wedding industry to highlight their services offered. It is also a way to get to know the supplier more and get to interact with them. This event helps the soon-to-be married couple in choosing the perfect team who will handle their once in a lifetime moment in a location more convenient and reachable by them.

Reasons to attend a bridal fair?
It is an exceptionally daunting and tiring task for couple to go from north to south just to canvas for their respective suppliers with a plethora of choices also given to them. The bridal fair will give the couple the convenience and the comfort of bringing them all the suppliers they would be needing one event and in one location. Kinda Nifty eh? :)

Bridal fairs also offer extensive promos and discounts for the marrying couple from the suppliers in the event who would come and visit the event. Who wouldn’t want discounts and to save money.

FREEBIES. actually it says it all. haha yup! FREE stuff. Fun games, Raffles and prices await you and your love. There will be FREE trial session for make up for brides. Yey! :)

It is also a great way to conceptualize and plan what kind of wedding do you want to achieve. Ideas and inspiration can come aslo from going to bridal fairs.

Ninda and Ari's Wedding Rings and Coins

Yesterday, June 6, 2013, Pati Rodriguez came to visit us and brought the wedding rings that we had ordered previously, yeah I’m so excited. Finally I have rings to place inside the DIY wedding ring box I had made, or refurnished actually, to give it a vintage pastel color feel.

We met our jeweler at a wedding fair, she is super nice and very accommodating and she’s easy to talk to and replies fast to our text and email (a BIG PLUS FACTOR for US). Anyway, Ari was the first one to spot the ring at her display, he has a very good eye for jewelry. The ring was two toned gold with precious stones. It symbolized for us two people becoming one (two tone gold) and of course diamonds are forever ;p. So after 3 months discussion and of course ring fitting. Today we finally got to see the finished product.

Thanks to Imelda's Jewelry who made our dream wedding ring comes true! You are so accommodating, expert in stone and diamond! Recommended to those who would like to order rings and jewelry.

Here you go, we got our symbols… of love: RINGs!

Also we have freebies to make pesos and rupiahs become gold colors. Rupiahs symbolize our country, Indonesia. While Pesos symbolize the place where we met, place where we are living at the moment, and place we will get married. So excited!
